We are excited to announce that we are upgrading and transitioning our Old Cash Register systems (i.e., Point – of – Sale (POS) systems) to a more robust and advanced platform. This transition will enable us to serve you with greater accuracy and efficiency and provide you with an improved shopping experience.
We kindly request your co-operation and understanding during this transition period, as it will temporarily impact our universal loyalty program that includes our Rewards Program for the period during the transition roll-out schedule included below for the DFW Stores. Our Gift Card process will also be temporarily impacted.
Rewards Program Updates:
Customers to kindly note and rest assured that all reward points will be accounted for irrespective of the points being earned in the Old system or transitioned system.
Reward points will be recorded in the Old system or in the transitioned system depending on when and in which store you shop at until the transition is complete by about May 15th 2025 as indicated in the transition roll-out schedule included above.
To avoid confusion, unfortunately, we will not be able to provide you with your total rewards balance from the Old system and the transitioned system during this period, as the points will be tracked separately in the two systems and will be merged once the transition is finalized.
Rewards redemption during the transition:
- For the points collected in the Old system: the rewards will be available in the stores that have still not started the transition to the new POS system.
- For the points collected in the transitioned system: the rewards will be temporarily unavailable from December 15th, 2024 to May 15th, 2025 during the transition roll-out schedule phase.
Store Credits awarding and redemption during the transition phase:
- Any need for refund resulting during the transition period from December 15th, 2024 to May 15th, 2025 will be processed directly back to the payment method used for the purchase by the customer, or customer will be offered a replacement for the product. Please note that the decision for each return or exchange will be at the discretion of the India Bazaar team.
- If the customer has previous store credit in the Old POS system customer can avail the store credit in any other India Bazaar store in DFW where the transition process has not started or is not completed if they want to use it before the transition for all stores are completed per schedule or wait for the transition to be complete and the store-credit to be merged to the transitioned system.

Gift Card Updates
Customers to kindly note and rest assured that the balance amounts in Gift cards will be accounted for whenever presented for redemption.
Old Gift Cards: Gift cards currently in possession with Customers, can only be used at locations still operating on the Old POS system.
Balance Transfers: For customers who go to stores where the transition to new POS system has started or is completed, any balance on Old gift cards will be transferred to a New Gift Card. The Old gift card must be presented and submitted in order to transfer the balance to the New Gift Card. The New Gift Card can now be used in the stores where the transition is completed or in the Store where they were provided.
We greatly appreciate your patience as we work to complete this upgrade. These changes are necessary to bring you a more seamless and enhanced shopping experience.
